About Me

About Me

Background

I am a social worker, coach, activist, visionary and co-founder of The Catalyst Collective.

I am a Certified Master Social Worker and Licensed Mental Health Practitioner with over 18 years experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.  I am also a collector, not of stuff but ideas, experiences, relationships and bits of knowledge.  I value creativity as the way to move beyond limitations, and I have dedicated my life to helping people live with intention in pursuit of their dreams.

I believe community and connectedness are the things that make life worth living, the things that can transform lives and help find meaning amidst the stresses and chaos of everyday life.

Because I value working in collaboration and partnerships, I am involved with many groups throughout the community, including:

· Collaborate with companies to provide executive coaching.  I help people move into a new way of leading that is authentic, inspiring, and useful; creating meaningful impact and getting the results needed.

· Coach several small business owners and non-profit leaders in Omaha to create work cultures based on value, respect and growth.

· Co-Created ICAN’s (Institute for Career Advancement and Needs) programs, Defining Leadership for Women, and Defining Leadership for Men Series.

· Former adjunct faculty at the UNO Graduate School of Social Work.

· Collaborated with Omaha Performing Arts Society to offer Diavolo Learn to Fly Women’s Experience and The Color Purple Women’s Circle.

· Volunteered with agencies serving children including, Children’s Square USA, Stephen’s Center, Adoption Links Worldwide, and Nebraska Foster Care Review Board.

I believe in the old adage:  You teach what you need to learn.  I’ve struggled in my own attempts to live wholly in both my body and mind, and I use what I learn to help others live more fully.

Although I’ve experienced many achievements though out my career, I measure my true success by the level of connectedness I feel in the relationships I have with the 3 most important people in my life ~ my husband and two daughters.  They support, amaze and inspire me every day.
